□ 우리 대학이 호주 디킨대학교(Deakin University) 및 맥쿼리대학교(Macquarie University)와의 협력을 통해 글로벌 공학교육 경쟁력 제고와 교직원 국제화 역량 강화를 추진한다.

 ○ 국립한밭대는 지난 10일 디킨대학교를 방문하여 글로벌 교육 협력 및 국제 학술교류 강화를 위한 협정을 체결했으며, 이어 12일에는 맥쿼리대학교와 교수자 중심의 교직원 역량강화 연수과정을 공동 개발․운영하기로 합의했다.

 ○ 특히 국립한밭대와 두 대학은 STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) 분야를 중심으로 겨울․여름 단기 연수 프로그램을 공동 운영하고, 전공과 연계된 학기제 프로그램을 도입하여 해외 수학 경험이 국내 학위과정과 유기적으로 연계될 수 있도록 추진한다.

 ○ 이를 통해 학생들은 단기 체험 중심의 해외연수를 넘어, 전공 학습과 진로 설계가 연계된 지속 가능한 글로벌 학습 경로를 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

 ○ 아울러 IT 및 첨단기술 분야를 중심으로 복수학위 및 공동학위 과정으로 협력 범위를 확대해, 국제 경쟁력을 갖춘 실무형 공학 인재 양성 체계를 구축할 계획이다.

□ 국립한밭대학교는 그간 캐나다 맥길대학교(McGill University), 영국 리즈대학교(University of Leeds) 등 세계 유수 대학들과 글로벌 연계 교육 프로그램을 개발․운영하며, 공동 교육과정 운영과 국제 협력 프로그램에 대한 실질적인 운영 경험과 노하우를 축적해 왔다.

 ○ 이번 디킨대학교 및 맥쿼리대학교와의 협력은 이러한 성과를 기반으로, 국립한밭대학교의 실무․산업 연계 중심 공학교육 역량과 해외 명문대학의 교육체계를 결합하여 글로벌 공학교육 모델을 한층 고도화하는 전략적 확장이라는 점에서 그 의미가 크다.

□ 또한, 학생 대상 교육 프로그램에 국한되지 않고, 대학 국제화의 지속 가능성을 높이기 위한 교직원 역량 강화 프로그램으로도 확대된다.

 ○ 국립한밭대학교와 맥쿼리대학교는 글로벌 수준의 행정 서비스, 학생 지원, 대학 사업 기획 및 추진 등의 교직원 역량 강화를 주제로 공동 연수 및 워크숍을 운영하고, 실무 중심의 우수 사례와 운영 노하우를 공유할 예정이다.

 ○ 이를 통해 대학 구성원 전반의 국제화 이해도와 실천 역량을 제고하고, 글로벌 환경 변화에 능동적으로 대응할 수 있는 행정․교육 체계를 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

□ 국립한밭대 오용준 총장은 “이번 협력은 단순한 해외 연수나 교류를 넘어, 공과대학 학생들이 글로벌 산업 현장에서 요구되는 실질적인 역량을 갖춘 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 전략적 파트너십이며, 학생과 교직원이 함께 성장하는 국제화 모델을 구축하여 국립한밭대학교의 글로벌 경쟁력을 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

□ Our university is pushing forward to enhance global engineering education competitiveness and strengthen the internationalization capabilities of faculty and staff through strategic partnerships with Deakin University and Macquarie University in Australia.

 ○ On the 10th, Hanbat National University visited Deakin University to sign an agreement aimed at strengthening global educational cooperation and international academic exchange. Subsequently, on the 12th, the university reached an agreement with Macquarie University to jointly develop and operate a faculty-centered professional development program to enhance staff capabilities

 ○ In particular, Hanbat National University and the two Australian institutions will jointly operate short-term winter and summer programs focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Furthermore, they plan to introduce semester-based programs integrated with major curricula to ensure that overseas academic experiences are seamlessly linked with domestic degree requirements.

 ○ Through these initiatives, students are expected to move beyond short-term, experience-oriented overseas training to establish sustainable global learning pathways that integrate their major studies with career planning.

 ○ Furthermore, the university plans to expand the scope of cooperation to include dual and joint degree programs, specifically focusing on IT and high-tech fields. This initiative aims to establish a cultivation system for practical engineering talent with global competitiveness.

□ Hanbat National University has consistently developed and operated global integrated education programs in partnership with prestigious world-class institutions, such as McGill University in Canada and the University of Leeds in the UK. Through these initiatives, the university has accumulated substantial operational experience and practical know-how in managing joint curricula and international cooperation programs.

 ○ Building on these previous achievements, the collaboration with Deakin and Macquarie Universities holds great significance as a strategic expansion. It aims to further sophisticate the global engineering education model by fusing Hanbat National University’s industry-linked engineering expertise with the advanced educational frameworks of these prestigious overseas institutions.

□ Furthermore, the initiative is not limited to student-oriented education programs; it will also expand to professional development programs for faculty and staff to enhance the sustainability of the university’s internationalization.

 ○ Hanbat National University and Macquarie University plan to operate joint training sessions and workshops focused on enhancing staff capabilities in global-standard administrative services, student support, and university project planning. Furthermore, they will share practical best practices and operational expertise to strengthen their institutional frameworks.

 ○ Through this, we plan to enhance the internationalization awareness and practical capabilities of all university members, while strengthening administrative and educational frameworks to proactively respond to changes in the global environment.
