AI-specialized company AirSound Co., Ltd. donated real-time subtitle translation support software to Hanbat National University

□ 우리 대학은 ㈜에어사운드(대표이사 백민호)로부터 3천 3백만원 상당의 이공계 전문용어가 지원되는 실시간 자막 번역지원 소프트웨어를 기증 받았다고 23일 밝혔다.

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-joon) announced on the 23rd that it had received a donation of real-time subtitle translation support software worth 33 million KRW from AirSound Co., Ltd. (CEO Baek Min-ho), which includes support for specialized terminology in science and engineering.

 ○ 이번에 기증 받은 소프트웨어는 외국인 유학생에 대한 언어장벽 해소와 학업역량 강화를 위한 실시간 번역 자막 프로그램인 ‘티키타캡션 3.0’과 양방향 대화 상담이 가능한 ‘티키타모바일’ 앱 12copy로 1년간 무제한 사용할 수 있는 라이선스이다.

 ○ The donation includes a one-year unlimited license for “TikitaCaption 3.0,” a real-time subtitle translation program designed to reduce language barriers and support the academic performance of international students, and "Tikita Mobile" app 12copy, which allows two-way conversation counseling.

 ○ 국립한밭대는 해당 소프트웨어를 국제교류원과 대학 강의실에 설치하여 수업 보조용으로 활용할 계획이다.

 ○ Hanbat National University plans to install the software in the Office of International Affairs and classrooms across campus to use it as a teaching aid.

□ ㈜에어사운드는 국립한밭대학교기술지주㈜의 3호 자회사로 AI 음성인식 기반 실시간 자동 회의록을 작성해 주는 ‘티키타노트’와 외국인과의 실시간 양방향으로 대화가 가능한 고정 설치용 ‘티키타톡’ 제품도 공급하고 있다.

□ AirSound Co., Ltd. is the third subsidiary of Hanbat National University Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., and supplies "TikitaTalk" products permanently installed for real-time automatic meeting minutes based on AI voice recognition and real-time conversations with foreigners in both directions.

 ○ 이번에 국립한밭대에 기증한 티키타캡션 3.0은 버전 1.0 출시로부터 4년만으로 그동안 음성인식 기술의 한계 때문에 이공계 전문용어에 대한 음성인식과 번역 제공이 어려워 사용하기가 불편했던 점을 개선했다.

 ○ TikiTaCaption 3.0 donated to the Hanbat National University has improved the inconvenience of using it because it has been difficult to provide voice recognition and translation for technical terms in science and engineering due to the limitations of voice recognition technology.

 ○ 이공계는 물론 의학, 공학, 자연과학 계열 등에서 전문적으로 사용하는 전공단어와 지역 사투리, 방언, 특정집단 은어에 대한 표준어 제공과 한국어에 대한 맞춤법, 띄어쓰기 등 표준 문장을 완성하도록 하는 성능 향상을 이루었다.

 ○ It has achieved performance improvements in providing a standard language for specialized terminology used in science and engineering fields, including medicine, engineering, and natural sciences, as well as regional dialects, vernaculars, and slang used by specific groups, and in completing standard Korean sentences with correct spelling and spacing.

 ○ 이렇게 완성된 문장은 약 110개국 언어로 번역하여 제공하며 동시 제공 가능한 언어는 최대 30개 언어로 학생들은 자신의 스마트폰에서 QR코드 스캔 후 번역된 자막과 음성을 실시간으로 시청할 수 있다.

 ○ The completed sentence is translated into about 110 languages, with up to 30 available simultanesouly, and students can watch translated subtitles and voices in real-time after scanning QR codes on their smartphones.

 ○ 따라서 지금까지는 일부 학과에서만 사용했던 한정된 범위에서 대학의 모든 학과 강의 수업에 적용이 가능하며, 이외에도 국제 학회 행사나 콘퍼런스, 강연 등 그동안 사용하기 어려웠던 IT관련 행사 등에 활용이 가능해졌다는 점이 가장 큰 특징 중의 하나이다.

 ○ Therefore, it can be applied to lecture classes in all departments of universities in a limited range that has only been used in some departments so far, and one of the biggest characteristics is that it can be used for IT-related events such as international academic events, conferences, and lectures.

 ○ 에어사운드 백민호 대표는 “최근 부산의 ㈜드림아이티와의 총판계약을 계기로 티키타 제품의 본격적인 시장 공급을 추진할 계획이다”라며, “한밭대기술지주회사(대표 임종태 교수)로부터 초기 투자유치를 받아 많은 지원과 도움을 받았으며 산학협력중점교수로 재직했던 인연으로 기업이 성장 할 수 있었고 이번 티키타캡션3.0 소프트웨어 기증을 계기로 앞으로도 지속적인 후원이 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

 ○ Baek Min-ho, CEO of AirSound, said, “We plan to push for a full-fledged market supply of TikiT products following the recent distribution contract with Dream IT in Busan,” adding, “We received early-stage investment and a lot of support and help from Hanbat National University Technology Holding Company (CEO Professor Lim Jong-tae). Thanks to his previous connection with Hanbat National University as an industry-academic cooperation professor, which created a valuable relationship, the company was able to grow. With the recent donation of the TikiTacaption 3.0 software, we hope to continue providing ongoing support in the future.”
