□ 우리 대학은 17일 일본어과 박혜성 교수가 학생들과 대학의 발전을 기원하며 장학금 1,000만 원을 기부했다고 밝혔다.
□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-joon) announced on the 17th that Professor Park Hye-sung of the Department of Japanese donated 10 million won in scholarships to pray for the development of students and universities.
○ 이날 행사에는 국립한밭대 오용준 총장과 일본어과 박희영 학과장, 박혜성, 김의영 교수가 참석했다.
○ The event was attended by Oh Yong-joon, president of the Hanbat National University, Park Hee-young, president of the Department of Japanese, Professor Park Hye-sung, and Kim Eui-young.
○ 박혜성 교수는 1993년 일본어과 교수로 임용된 후 현재까지 33년간 교육자로서 글로벌 역량을 갖춘 인재 양성과 학과의 위상 제고를 위해 힘써왔으며, 한국일본언어문화학회 회장 역임, EBS 라디오 일본어회화를 14년간 집필 및 진행하며 외부활동도 활발히 했다.
○ Since he was appointed a professor in the Department of Japanese in 1993, Professor Park Hye-sung has devoted 33 years to cultivating globally competent talent and enhancing the department’s reputation. He has also been highly active outside the university, serving as president of the Japanese Language and Culture Association of Korea and writing and hosting the EBS Radio Japanese conversation program for 14 years.
□ 박 교수는 “이제 정년이 얼마 남지 않은 상황에서 대학을 위해 무언가 할 수 있을까를 고민하다가 기부를 결심했다”며, “우리 학생들에게 조금이나마 도움이 됐으면 좋겠고, 또 국립한밭대학교 일본어과가 지금처럼 계속해서 발전해 나가기를 기원한다”고 소감을 전했다.
□ Professor Park said, "I decided to donate after thinking about what I could do for the university with my retirement age just around the corner," and added, "I hope it will help our students, and I hope that the Department of Japanese of the Hanbat National University will continue to develop as it is now."
□ 오용준 총장은, “학생들을 위한, 또 대학을 생각해 주시는 원로 교수님의 마음에 깊이 감사드리며, 고귀한 뜻을 잘 받들어 학생들에게 도움이 될 수 있도록 잘 활용하겠다”고 말했다.
□ Oh Yong-joon, president of the Hanbat National University, said, "I deeply appreciate the senior professor's heart for students and the university, and I will use it well to help students by supporting their noble will."
