By imparting engineering knowledge required in the mechanical industry based on creative thinking, we aim to foster engineers with the expertise and skills to lead the mechanical engineering field, which has been undergoing tremendous advances in recent years, in addition to producing outstanding technical and research professionals equipped with the knowledge of advanced theories and technologies that are applied in the field.
In order to contribute to national and regional development by cultivating professional and technical manpower necessary for an advanced mechanized information society and creative competitive manpower that can actively cope with various environmental changes, we focus on nurturing talented individuals who can be creative and proactive in industrial sites and who can combine theory and practice.
Mechanical engineering is a ‘universal’ major of study with applications across the industrial sector. We cultivate human resources capable of adapting to the field and contributing to the technological advancement of domestic companies with advanced convergence technology, so that they can find employment at major public companies, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large corporations, including manufacturing companies, equipment companies, construction supervision companies, machinery and equipment companies, and energy-related companies, as well as government-affiliated research institutes, public institutions, and government agencies.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering trains highly competent professionals capable of acquiring and developing the technical knowledge required in production and design engineering, thermal fluid engineering, and control engineering to apply it in the production field.
