The Department of English Language and Literature at HBNU Graduate School offers programs designed to broaden the academic horizons in English language studies, English education, and English literature. Students study semantics, phonetics, and phonology in English language studies; teaching and assessment in English education studies; and poetry, novels, plays, and criticism in English literature studies.
The department provides systematic and in-depth education in all fields of English literature, centered on English language, education, and literature studies and cultivates talents who can contribute to the development of related disciplines as well as national and regional development.
After graduation, you will be able to teach English-related courses in elementary, middle, or high school or private language center; teach English courses (English language, education, and literature) at various postsecondary education institutes; or work as an English expert at a government agency, public company, or private company.
Graduates can go on to study abroad in English-speaking countries, obtain professional certifications, work in interpretation and translation, or get a job at a private company or a government/public agency after passing the civil service examination.
