Department Overview and Objectives

With the goal of fostering engineers for creative convergence in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Department of Creative Convergence Engineering imparts expertise in materials engineering, information electronics, and mechanical engineering, and fosters engineers who can come up with innovative ideas, bring them to life using 3D printing with the desired materials, and apply electrical control. In addition, the department cultivates creative problem-solving skills and non-engineering skills related to patents, business management, and so on to foster creative all-round talents with self-directed problem-solving skills.

• Convergence of different technologies as well as business management to bring forth practical value
• Self-directed learning to find and creatively solve problems on their own

Technical Education

• Operate curricula that reflect the needs of the nano-IT convergence industry
• Business mindset and leadership training to effectively communicate one’s ideas, collaborate with others, and manage the business organization

Field-oriented Hands-on Training

• Mandatory operation of lab and practical courses in required courses
• Provide education and training with field experts such as on-site practical training and industry-academia R&D projects
