Department Overview and Objectives

The Department of Public Policy at Hanbat National University was established in 2016 with the aim of educating students in a practical discipline that integrates law and public administration.

Hanbat National University focuses on industry-academia cooperation with engineering as the centerpiece, and it established the Department of Public Policy to meet the needs of society by training policy experts required by the central government, Sejong City Government, Daedeok Innopolis, and local communities.

Focuses of Education and Research

Students get to develop insight into the current state of public administration and laws in Korea through in-depth study and understanding of legal and administrative theories.

Through the application of theories in law and public administration, students are able to provide alternative policies to address problems faced by Korean society.

• State and local officials, police officers, prosecutors, court officers, fire and corrections officers, state legislators, election boards, etc.
• Earn professional licenses (attorney, patent attorney, certified public accountant, tax accountant, adjuster, appraiser, etc.)
