Electricity, which gives life to all industrial equipment and machinery, will become increasingly more important in the future, with its applications become more diverse as science and civilization continue to develop.
Electrical engineering is like the heart supplying blood to not only the information technology (IT) industry but also all industries that require electric power, and it is the most fundamental and essential field of engineering for the happiness of humanity. It is a discipline that scientifically investigates electric and magnetic phenomena in nature and applies the principles to bring convenience and benefits to human society. Accordingly, the department provides comprehensive education in basic studies and industrial technology in laboratories. Students learn and master the operation and control technology of traditional power systems and the application technology of power facilities and electric power, so that they can turn into highly qualified leaders in the areas of electric vehicles, maglev trains, power IT, next- generation energy, intelligent building management systems, subway and high-speed train operation, and other industries utilizing digitalized electrical engineering technology that have been attracting attention in recent years.
Train competent professionals who can participate in the research, development, design, and operation in electricity-related fields as the industries become more advanced and specialized.
