To be admitted to the program, a student must have completed a baccalaureate degree and have a good background in mathematics. While a student need not have majored in mathematics to be admitted, he (she) is expected to have completed at least 9 hours of mathematics at the junior level, preferably in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and statistics. When these requirements are not met, students may be requested to take undergraduate math courses at Hanbat National University.
Typically, the application deadline is October for the spring semester and April for the fall semester. All application processes must be completed through the Graduate College of Hanbat National University.
However, we strongly recommend that applicants submit their application to the Mathematics Graduate Coordinator, Prof. Seonghwan Kim, at sungwhan@hanbat.ac.kr before applying through the Graduate College.
