About the Lab
The 21st century is expected to be marked with a transition from an industrial society to an information society, where information technology (IT) will play an important role and there will be advances in ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing involves a paradigm shift various services are provided without exposure of computer technology to humans. In other words, the computer technologies we use will provide advanced services embedded in various devices that exist in the environment around us, rather than existing individually as computers such as laptop and desktop computers, which are common today.
In order to proactively respond to this paradigm shift, our research focuses on the following key areas:
- Database Technology: Study of efficient processing of vast amounts of data which is a fundamental technology for an information society
- Embedded Software: The cornerstone for realizing a ubiquitous society
- Data Modeling and Mapping: E/R, object-oriented model, UML, object-relational model mapping
- DBMS: Oracle DB, Berkeley DB, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
- Database Programming: JDBC, EJB, ADO.NET
- Struct, JSF, Java EE, and Spring
- Embedded OS: Linux, Windows CE, L4/Iguana
- Device Drivers: Linux, Windows CE
- 센서: RFID, JigBee, GPS
