We introduce to you the student clubs affiliated with the Department of Economics

GLEAM - Academic Club

The Department of Economics won the Top Excellence Prize in the regional competition of the Daejeon-Chungcheong Monetary Policy Competition three consecutive times* in 2018, 2019, and 2021 to advance to the national round, and won two honorable mentions and one bronze prize (2019) at the national competition. We also finished third place in the Daejeon Chungcheong region in 2022 and 2023. After noting a lack of interaction and sharing of information with senior members on the team in preparing for these competitions, GLEAM was founded under the guidance of Professor Bok-Hyun Cho, a professor of macroeconomics in the Department of Economics. In addition to preparing for and participating in the Monetary Policy Competition, GLEAM also recruits students who are interested in acquiring certifications related to the financial sector and in-depth study of their majors, which will help them to find quality jobs in the financial industry or further their studies in graduate school.

* Not held in 2020 due to COVID-19
