- Contributing to fostering practical talents linking industrial sites and universities through the work-study parallelism system

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced that alumnus Ha Seung-min, a graduate of the Department of Convergence Technology (contract department), was selected as the grand prize winner in the learning worker category of the '2026 20th Human Resources Development Conference' held at COEX Magok, Seoul on the 10th and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award.

 ○ The 'Work-Study Parallelism' program, which the Hanbat National University Joint Training Center has been operating since 2015, is a field centered vocational education and training system supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea where companies and educational institutions participate together to support learning workers in systematically acquiring practical skills and professional knowledge required at industrial sites.

 ○ The Work-Study Parallelism Best Practices Contest is held annually with the purpose of expanding the project and settling the system by raising public awareness through promoting the purpose and achievements of the project, and inspiring pride and willingness for continuous participation through rewarding participating entities.

□ Graduate Ha Seung-min, who won the grand prize in the learning worker category of this contest, entered the Department of Convergence Technology (contract department) of the College of Engineering operated with the support of the Hanbat National University Joint Training Center work-study parallelism university linked project as a learning worker of SEENG in 2021, working at the industry during the day and taking classes at the university at night, and graduated in February 2025 (acquiring a bachelor's degree in engineering).

 ○ In addition, based on knowledge and skills learned in the education and training course, actual job performance capabilities were evaluated, and through this, he achieved the outcome of passing the external evaluation (laser processing_L3_20V1) where he could check his own competence and achievement level.

 ○ An official from the Hanbat National University Joint Training Center stated, "This award is a very meaningful achievement that well-livingly fulfills the purpose of the system implementation, such as the continuous self-development processes where a non-engineering major who graduated from an arts high school participates in work-study parallelism to make a successful job transition into a mechanical major, acquires a degree, passes work-study parallelism qualification exams and national technical qualification exams, and advances to a master's course".

□ Meanwhile, the '2026 Human Resources Development Conference', Korea's largest HR festival, provided diverse contents under the theme 「Era of Change, NEXT HR」, and contributed to spreading awareness of vocational ability development and strengthening national HRD competitiveness by providing and sharing the latest HR related information.
