Nowadays, it is easy to get information for employment with the development of the internet. To get a job, we need information about companies, job functions, and qualifications of successful candidates. However, what is the right information and where should we get it? If you want to know where other people get job information, let’s pay attention to the site below.

1. HBNU Employment Guidance Center homepage, Job book, KakaoTalk Open Chat, and Work-Net homepage.

As a student at HBNU, you must know all the sites mentioned above to get help from the school. On each site, you can check the programs’ operated and recommended recruitment.

On the homepage of HBNU Employment Guidance Center, you can check the outline of the employment program operated by HBNU, and the road map to help develop your career. If you are worried about which program to apply for, and want to know what kind of program runs for one year, you can check it on the homepage of HBNU Employment Guidance Center. In addition, you can check the recruitment schedule and deadlines for each company, including conglomerates, public enterprises, financial sectors, and middle market enterprises.

Mobile Jobbook can be used after signing in with your student number. Depending on which program you use, there are differences in how to use programs like email or visiting submission. However, most programs can be applied through the HBNU mobile Jobbook. On the Jobbook website, you can check the number of students and applicants for the program, and it is easy to see the notices for the program. HBNU Employment Guidance Center operates KakaoTalk Open Chat, which provides employment information to graduates and seniors. They upload company information in real time to students who need job information. Also, you can get answers to simple questions you may have while writing your resume, or about qualifications.   The most important website is Work-Net. To consult with the employment support officer at the Employment Guidance Center, you must apply through the Work-Net site. Counseling is in a variety of different fields, such as resume reviews, employment strategies, and interview methods. Counseling is professionally conducted because, for each department,  different employment support officers are in charge of counseling.

2. National Competency Standards  Website (NCS)

Some people say that, when you are preparing to get a job, the first step is choosing a job function. For choosing a job function, analysis of the function is essential. So, where can we get information about it? You can get related information through the Google search engine, but you can get more accurate information from the NCS website.

You can refer to the picture below to show how to get information about the job function you are interested in. The first picture is a search for learning modules at the bottom of the NCS homepage. Choose a job function you are interested in and select a major, subcategory, or detailed category of the job. Then you will be taken to another page, as shown in the third picture. If you press the button marked in red, a pop-up window appears where you can get job function information.

3. Jasoseol.com

At Jasoseol.com you can check the recruitment schedule for different companies every month. You can check requirements, credentials, and a letter of self-introduction which improves your chances of acceptance with the company you want to apply for. Also, you can check how to create a positive atmosphere in an interview room. Through the applicants’ data lab, you can check which school and department graduates are applied to most often, and also the applicant’s age, and what kind of certificates they have. Since you can check the popular announcements for each job function, you can know which common requirements and credentials should be prepared for students who have chosen those job functions. Therefore, it is helpful, not only for students who are preparing for a job right away, but also for younger students who want to improve their resumes.

DART is a corporate disclosure system site that allows listed corporations to submit public documents on the internet, and users to inquire about public documents immediately after submission. Simply, it is a site that posts documents to provide information to shareholders. Therefore, you can get real information about different companies. You can check the company’s inside information, vision, and goals, and if you use these details in your letter of self-introduction, you can be considered an applicant of interest by the company. When you first access the DART site and examine the documents, it may seem difficult, but what you have to check is very simple. In the pictures below, if you search for a company, you can select reports such as semi-annual reports and sustainability management reports.  Then you can look at the outline in the pop-up window and move to where you want from the document table of contents. Although the content is complex, it is a very good site where you can get what you want, such as real company information, if you read it with interest.

5. Linked in

Linked in is a site where you can check the number of graduates working at the company and talk to the workers through messenger. It can be used for getting a job in the interior or foreign company employment, but it is even more useful for overseas employment. At this site, you can search the recruitment advertisements for hiring positions in different countries. You can also get a chance to take suggestions from head-hunters by posting your resume information (age, education, qualifications, extracurricular activities, and language skills) on Linked in. If you enter your certificate in the search bar at the top of the homepage and search for a job, you can check which company requires that certificate, who has the certificate, and which company you are working for. With the search method previously mentioned, you can check the outline on how to develop your career, based on your current abilities and skills.

6. Each company’s recruitment site.

The most basic and important thing is the recruitment site of the company you want to apply for. There is lots of information, such as the detailed description of the talents that a company requires, and detailed information about the job, depending on the company. Sometimes, there are chances to tour the company to which you want to apply. Therefore, if you have decided which company to apply for, it is good to visit each company’s recruitment site and the official SNS.

I think it is reasonable that it is difficult to get a job at the moment, due to the COVID-19 and the economic deterioration.
