국립한밭대, 2024학년도 후기 학위수여식 개최

- 학사 310명, 석사 63명, 박사 9명 총 382명 인재 배출

□ 우리 대학은 22일 오전 교내 아트홀에서 ‘2024학년도 후기 학위수여식’을 개최했다.

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) held the 2024 Fall Commencement Ceremony on the morning of the 22nd at the university’s Art Hall.

 ○ 이날 행사에는 국립한밭대 오용준 총장과 학무위원들이 참석해 졸업생들을 격려하고, 이장우 대전광역시장, 설동호 대전광역시교육감, 송명기 총동문회장 등이 축사를 보내왔으며, 학사보고, 졸업식사 및 축사, 표창, 학위수여 순으로 진행됐다.

 ○ President Oh Yong-jun of Hanbat National University and members of the academic board attended the ceremony to congratulate the graduates, while congratulatory messages were sent by Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo, Daejeon Superintendent of Education Seol Dong-ho, and Alumni President Song Myung-ki. The event proceeded in the following order: academic report, commencement and congratulatory speeches, awards, and degree conferral.

 ○ 이번 후기 학위수여자는 학사 310명, 석사 63명, 박사 9명 총 382명이며, 총장 표창으로 대학원 최우수논문상 응용소재공학과 박사과정 애비 스탠리 △우수논문상 대학원 경영학과 박사과정 최진 △학사 학업우수상 화학생명공학과 이유진 등 6명 △공로상 경영회계학과 권현수 학생 등이 수상했다.

 ○ A total of 382 students received degrees at the 2024 Fall Commencement, including 310 bachelor's, 63 master's, and 9 doctoral degrees. Presidential awards were also presented: the Graduate School’s Best Dissertation Award went to Abby Stanley, a doctoral student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; the Excellent Paper Award to Choi Jin, a doctoral student in the Department of Business Administration; the Undergraduate Academic Excellence Award to six students including Lee Yoo-jin from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering; and the Contribution Award to Kwon Hyun-soo from the Department of Business and Accounting.

□ 오용준 총장은 졸업생들에게 “인공지능이 급속히 발전하면서 불안과 기대가 교차하고 있지만, 이를 대체할 수 없는 자유롭고 창의적인 인간의 깊은 사고력을 바탕으로 스스로에게 끊임없이 도전하는 개척자가 되어달라”고 당부했다.

□ President Oh Yong-jun of Hanbat National University urged the graduates, saying, "As artificial intelligence rapidly advances, it brings both anxiety and anticipation. However, I encourage you to become pioneers who continuously challenge yourselves, grounded in the deep thinking of free and creative human minds—something that AI can never replace."

 ○ 또한, “자신만의 가치와 목표를 가지고 자신의 속도를 지키며 끝까지 완주하는 여정을 만들어 가길 바라고, 그 여정에서 만나는 사람들과 협력하며 성장하길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.

 ○ He added, "I hope you will pursue a journey guided by your own values and goals, maintaining your own pace to see it through to the end. Along the way, I also hope you grow by collaborating with the people you meet."

□ 한편, 국립한밭대는 지난 2월 열린 2024학년도 전기 학위수여식에서는 1,754명에게 학위를 수여했으며, 이번 후기 졸업생 382명을 더해 올해에 총 2,136명의 졸업생을 배출했다.

□ Meanwhile, at the 2024 Spring Commencement Ceremony held last February, Hanbat National University awarded degrees to 1,754 students. With the addition of the 382 graduates from the fall ceremony, the university has produced a total of 2,136 graduates this year.
