□ 우리 대학 제40대 Always 총동아리연합회가 지난 18일부터 4박 5일간 경상남도 남해군 삼동면 금송리에서 ‘2025 어촌 봉사활동’을 실시하고 있다고 전했다.

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) has announced that its 40th Always Student Club Association is conducting a five-day "2025 Fishing Village Volunteer Program" from the 18th to the 22nd in Geumsong-ri, Samdong-myeon, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

 ○ 이번 활동은 매년 이어온 농촌 봉사활동과 달리 처음으로 어촌 지역에서 진행된 봉사활동이라는 점에서 특별한 의미를 지닌다.

 ○ This activity holds special significance as it was the first time the annual volunteer work, which has been focused on farming communities, was carried out in a fishing village.

 ○ 총 67명의 학생 봉사단은 인구소멸지역으로 분류된 남해군의 마을을 찾아 지역 어르신들과 청년층 간 교류의 장을 마련했으며, 청년 인구가 급격히 줄어든 남해군에 젊은 대학생들이 찾아가 지역사회에 활력을 불어넣었다.

 ○ A total of 67 student volunteers visited a village in Namhae County, a region classified as having a declining population, to create a space for interaction between local elders and the youth. The presence of the young university students brought a new sense of vitality to Namhae County, where the youth population has been rapidly decreasing.

 ○ 특히 학기 중에는 경험하기 어려운 현장 활동을 통해 재학생들이 사회성과 협동심, 봉사정신을 키울 수 있도록 했으며, 참가자들은 항포구 환경정비, 사회복지시설 방문 봉사 등을 통해 어촌 마을에 힘을 보탰다.

 ○ The volunteer activities provided students with a chance to develop social skills, teamwork, and a spirit of service—all of which are difficult to foster during the regular semester. The participants supported the fishing village by helping with tasks like harbor cleanup and visiting local social welfare facilities.

 ○ 총동아리연합회 박지훈 기획국장(산업경영공학과 4학년)은 “삼동면사무소, 남해봉사센터를 비롯해 다양한 곳에서 많은 도움을 받아 첫 어촌 봉사활동을 기획하는데 있어 큰 힘이 되었다”고 했다.

 ○ Park Ji-hoon, director of planning for the student club association and a fourth-year student in Industrial and Management Engineering, stated, "The support from various organizations like the Samdong-myeon Office and the Namhae Volunteer Center was instrumental in successfully planning our first volunteer work in a fishing village."

 ○ 또한, 봉사단은 지난 20일에는 최근 기록적인 폭우로 큰 피해를 입은 산청군 수해 지역 현장을 찾아 복구 작업을 돕고 지역 주민들에게 따뜻한 위로와 희망을 전했다.

 ○ In addition, on the 20th, the volunteer group visited the flood-damaged areas of Sancheong County, which had recently suffered from record-breaking heavy rains. They assisted with recovery efforts and offered warm comfort and hope to the local residents.

 ○ 제40대 Always 총동아리연합회 서용현 회장은 “매년 농촌에서 진행하던 봉사활동을 올해는 최초로 어촌까지 확대해 의미가 크다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 호흡하는 봉사활동으로 청년세대의 공동체 의식을 키워가겠다”고 밝혔다.

 ○ Seo Yong-hyun, president of the 40th Always Club Association, stated that it was highly meaningful to expand their annual volunteer efforts from farms to include a fishing village for the first time this year, and that they will continue to foster a sense of community among the younger generation through such activities.
